Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration

Reverse
Osmosis is a purification process that uses pressure to force water through a
semi-permeable membrane, retaining impurities (such as nitrates) on one side,
while allowing the pure water to pass through to the other side.
For many, the solution to poor quality water from the tap has been to purchase
bottled water; however, in a four year study, the Natural Resources Defense
Council concluded that bottled water sold in the United States is not always
filtered and not necessarily cleaner or safer than most tap water, with some
brands being "significantly contaminated".
Filtration devices are subject to far more stringent regulations through the
National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) than those required of bottled water.
The 7-LRO-35 Reverse Osmosis System available through Lancaster Pump & Water
Treatment is NSF certified, so you may be assured that the water available from
your kitchen tap is fresher, cleaner and safer than any bottled water on the
market today.
